Aloha Reader! It was Mother’s Day in North America this past weekend - and what a wonderful time to reflect on and celebrate the many mother figures who have shaped our lives and the lives of our students. Whether through care, mentorship, guidance, or quiet strength, these individuals provide the foundation for growth, learning, and love—both inside and outside the classroom. Mother figures come in many forms: mothers, grandmothers, aunties, teachers, coaches, and community members. They are the ones who cheer us on, hold us accountable, and remind us of our worth when we forget it ourselves. Let’s take a moment this week to honor them—with gratitude, stories, or a simple note of appreciation. These small reflections can have a big impact. With appreciation for all the caregivers in our community! Updates on the Podcast:
